Feedback literacy training

Train-the-trainer feedback literacy

Build feedback strength in your team, with and without AI

Do you want to take feedback within your organisation or programme to the next level? This train-the-trainer course has been developed both for teachers in secondary, vocational (MBO) and higher professional (HBO) education and for leaders, team coaches and HR professionals in companies who want to build a strong feedback culture.

You will learn how to use feedback to strengthen self-regulated learning and working, how to guide professionals in giving and receiving feedback, and how to embed this process sustainably in teams. You will also discover how AI can be used as a tool to speed up, deepen and support feedback processes, wherever it genuinely adds value.

Who is it for?

In this training you develop an in-depth understanding of what feedback really means within learning and working processes. You learn how to use formative feedback as a driver of ownership and self-direction, actively involving individuals, whether students or team members, in their own development. The model by Hattie and Timperley, with the questions Where am I going? Where am I now? And what is the next step?, forms a powerful starting point in your learning process. You discover how to design a learning or working environment in which feedback is experienced not as an assessment but as an invitation to grow.

You strengthen your conversation skills, with attention to asking open and exploratory questions, such as Power and Closer questions, that invite reflection and action. You learn the difference between feedback as a 'push' and feedback as a 'dialogue', and how to guide the latter in a purposeful way. Alongside the content and coaching components, you get to know powerful working methods for embedding feedback sustainably in teams or learning pathways. Think of lesson observations, video coaching, peer teaching and retrospectives. These instruments help you build a feedback culture in which people feel safe to grow.

Finally, there is room for technological support: you get to know AI tools that can enrich or speed up feedback processes. Whether you work in education or in an organisation, this training offers practical guidance that fits your practice and makes an impact on both people and systems.

Best training and impact

Approach

This training is designed to be active: everything you learn, you apply straight away in your own teaching practice or learning team. You get room to explore your own practical questions and exchange ideas with colleagues. Because it is a train-the-trainer format, you receive templates and guidance to apply parts of the training yourself within your team or programme. You can also get to know AI tools if you wish.

Format & practicalities

The training consists of three sessions of 3.5 hours each, which can be scheduled flexibly as separate meetings or as part of study days. It starts with an intake centred on your own case. During the programme there is room for reflection and for coaching at team level. On successful completion you receive a certificate of participation, linked to a reflection report and a concrete application in your team or programme.

Result

After this training you will be able to guide powerful feedback processes, both in the classroom and in teams of teachers. You know how to use feedback to promote self-regulated learning and how to hold feedback conversations that lead to ownership and growth. You will also have a practical toolbox of materials and working methods. With or without the use of AI.
